Al Pomodoro was born from the idea of 2 cousins, 27 years old each one, to offer the experience of feeling like in Italy in the heart of the city of Cambridge.
To compliance with this goal, the original idea was to create a business like most of the businesses in the south of Italy, a traditional family business.
A family business, as we see it in Italy, is made when the 90% of the employees are members of a family.
Umberto (one of the partners) ‘s mother in law is our head chef, his father in law is our pizza chef, his wife is the pastry chef, and almost all of the other employees are cousins or relatives.
Business created, now our goal is to deliver a service during which our customers can feel like in Sicily, tasting our fresh Sicilian hand made food, or as Umberto uses to say ‘fell like in our living room’
